A newly published manuscript in the Asian American Journal of Psychology shows that four commonly used measures of acculturation-based intergenerational conflict are not all the same. Depending on researchers’ or clinicians’ intentions and scope of interests, two of these measures are found to perform better in predicting Asian Americans’ depression, anxiety, and self-esteem.
