Two undergraduates in ADAPT presented research findings at the 28th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Texas Research Society on Alcoholism (TRSA) held in Austin, TX on February 9, 2018. This was the first time that SMU was represented at TRSA, an interdisciplinary society focusing on advancing research on alcohol use and alcoholism.
Shalanda Berkeley gave an oral presentation entitled, Ethnic differences in the roles of alcohol salience in hazardous alcohol use.
Kathryn Curtis gave an oral presentation entitled, Roles of meta-emotions and experiential avoidance in alcohol-related problems.
Both of them did an excellent job, especially they were the only undergraduate students presenting at the conference, and that this was their first-ever research conference. Congratulations!
