About

This project was produced by the students and professor of History 3310/Religious Studies 3342 at Southern Methodist University in the Spring of 2016.  The course focused on Religion in the United States before 1865, and the students engaged in a collaborative digital humanities research project on religion and the American Revolution, as it appeared in newspapers at the time.

The Course Blog charts the course from the professor’s perspective and discusses the various tools we used.  A class schedule appears here.

Research pages represent the work of individual students.  Some have chosen to withhold their names.
