Our film focuses on the beloved Indian sweet modak which are are traditionally filled with coconut and jaggery but also are available in a variety of flavors ranging from coconut rose to kesari. Modak is the favorite dish of Ganesha, the Hindu elephant-headed god, and has been popularized by the festival Ganesha Chathurthi. Modak has united people in honor of the Hindu god as well as served as a uniting factor in the fight for independence from Britain.
