Lab work in Guatemala

Hello from the Holtun Archaeological Project laboratory in Guatemala City, Guatemala!

I arrived on Tuesday to begin a lab season for my dissertation research. This summer I will be staying in our lab space in Guatemala in order to analyze formal chert tools and chert debitage excavated in previous years’ field seasons. I’ll also be continuing the ceramic form analysis I began last summer and expand my sample while I’m waiting for results from the MURR archaeometry lab for the NAA of ceramics. This will be a very busy 3 weeks! Please stay tuned for photographs and updates whenever it’s possible for me to post them.
