About Me!

Hello! I’m Cheyenne Reynolds-Kirkwood and I’m an archaeologist/biologist. My research interests include soil science, pyrogeography, human technology impacts to the environment, and geoarchaeology.

In my dissertation, I plan on looking at how the soil microbiome has changed throughout different fire regimes in human history. The project is currently planned to occur in the Southwest United States, primarily the Jemez Mountains. I want to use this research to improve the data available in long term global fire trend work.
