Persons & Entities Collaborating with Toastmasters at SMU


Paula Hill – Paula Hill is a key advisory resource for Toastmasters at SMU. As the Director of the Business Leadership Institute, Paula develops the communication and leadership skills for the BBA’s at the Cox School of Business. Toastmasters at SMU will collaborate with Paula to develop the communication and leadership skills of its members.

Carol Clyde – As the Director of Leadership and Community Involvement, Carol brings years of leadership experience to Toastmasters at SMU. A member of Toastmasters International, Carol has been instrumental in the creation of Toastmasters at SMU and the Toastmasters Speaker Series.

Pam Conlin – As the director of Donor Development in the Cox School of Business, Pam Conlin will be collaborating with Toastmasters at SMU in the development of solicitation plans for potential sponsors of the Toastmasters Speaker Series

Kim Holladay – Toastmasters at SMU will be working closely with the BBA Career Center. As the Director of BBA Career Center, her office will be instrumental in the scholarship process, helping conduct the interviews which will determine the recipients of the scholarships provided by the Toastmasters Speaker Series.

Stephanie Dupaul – As the Director of BBA Admissions, Stephanie Dupaul will help provide the leaders of the future for Toastmasters at SMU. We will be working closely with Stephanie to recruit the BBA scholars into Toastmasters at SMU.

Cecil Ewell – Serving as a mentor for Toastmasters at SMU, Cecil Ewell brings a career of “real-world” business experience to the table. Recently retired, Cecil served as Vice President of Flight and Chief Captain of American Airlines. As VP of Flight, Cecil was responsible for every flight at American Airlines.

Jack Balko – As the District Governor of Toastmasters International, Jack Balko provides a wealth of contacts and networking opportunities for Toastmasters at SMU and the Toastmasters Speaker Series. Jack currently has over 160 clubs in his territory, with the majority located within the Dallas metroplex.

Melanie Dunn/Jack Moore – Jack and Melanie have been appointed as the mentors of Toastmasters at SMU by Toastmasters International. As mentors, Jack and Melanie will be instrumental to the success and development of Toastmasters at SMU.

Student2Student – Student2Student is a student run portfolio designed to provide “real-world” business experience and scholarships to the students of Southern Methodist University. Toastmasters at SMU and Student2Student have forged an alliance to increase each others network base and to provide the best possible organizations and opportunities for the students of SMU.
