What is Theta Tau?

Theta Tau is a co-ed professional engineering fraternity with chapters all over the nation.

What does Theta Tau do?

The purpose of Theta Tau is to develop and maintain a high standard of professional interest among its members, and to unite them in a strong bond of fraternal fellowship. We have meetings each week for organizing events, and our activities fall into 3 main categories: professional development, community service, and building brotherhood.

  • Professional development: hosting speakers, sponsoring tours, improving resume writing, sharpening interview skills, and encouraging leadership qualities

  • Community service: volunteering to help the School of Engineering, SMU campus, and the Dallas community by donating our time/skills

  • Building brotherhood: hosting dinners, movie nights, parties, road trips, retreats, study groups so that our members can bond together to accomplish the fraternity’s goals
