GROUPS ON CAMPUS
   ALLIES - "Group formed by faculty, staff, and students with the intention of providing visible, tangible support for lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender, and questioning members of the SMU community. "
   WIN - Women's Interest Network - Student organization open to all women and men who believe in gender equality.
   ARC - Affirming Religious Community - "Our mission is to provide social, educational, and theological opportunities with an affirming perspective on sexual orientation to Perkins students and their partners. Perkins students who express interest and comply with the ARC Safety Covenant may obtain membership."
   Delta Lambda Phi - "Delta Lambda Phi is a national fraternity providing social, service, and recreational activities for gay, bisexual, and progressive men since 1986."
   SMU Health Center - Counseling and Psychiatric services are available, as well as general practice healthcare.

   University of Texas at Dallas - UTD's GLBT resources are also run through their Women's Center
   University of North Texas - A strong Ally program at UNT, which also has a Study of Sexualities section.

DALLAS ORGANIZATIONS
   Resource Center of Dallas - Offers a large number of volunteer-run services for the GLBT community, including social events, educational programs, employment/financial and health and medical aid.
   YFT - Youth First Texas - "Non-profit organization in Dallas exclusively committed to providing social services, education opportunities, and recreational activities to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Questioning (GLBTQ) Youth through age 22."
   PFLAG Dallas - Local chapter of "Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays".
   GLSEN - Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network - "The leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students."
   Queer LiberACTION - Organization focused on direct, visible, public political activism.
   Cathedral of Hope - The world's largest liberal Christian church with a primary outreach to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, affiliated with the United Church of Christ denomination since 2006.

MUSICAL ORGANIZATIONS
   Turtle Creek Chorale - Celebrating a positive image of the gay community through a mission "to entertain, educate, unite and uplift our audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation, diversity and artistic excellence."
   Resounding Harmony - "A diverse group of men and women whose mission is to enrich and effect change in its listeners by sharing the gift of song through benefit performances for worthy causes and organizations; and by proclaiming the worth, dignity and equality of every human being through the harmony created."
   Oak Lawn Symphonic Band - Founding member of Lesbian and Gay Band Association, an international organization of gay and lesbian community bands.

   Lambda Legal - "The nation's oldest and largest legal organization working for the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, and people with HIV/AIDS."
   Laws.Com - Provides news and information on LGBT rights, as well as the applicable laws.
   HRC - Human Rights Campaign - Founded in 1980, HRC is the largest national LGBT civil rights organization.
   OUTFront - Amnesty International - "to conduct research and generate action to prevent and end grave abuses of human rights and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated."
   GLAAD - Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation
   Think Before You Speak - Campaign to raise awareness about the prevalence and consequences of anti-LGBT bias and behavior in America’s schools with an aim to reduce and prevent the use of homophobic language in an effort to create a more positive environment for LGBT teens.
   Deep Stealth Productions - "Deep Stealth produces entertainment and educational content focused on issues related to gender. We work to provide more accurate and positive portrayals of transgender people, and to give a voice to transgender actors and entertainers."

SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS/FINANCIAL AID
   Gamma Mu Foundation - $1000-$2500 awards for gay men.
   Point Foundation - The Point Foundation provides scholarships to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students (LGBT) to help meet the costs of higher education.  Scholarships range from $5,000 to $28,000 per year.
   Queer Scholars Fund -  The Queer Foundation offers to the winners of each year's essay contest $1,000 scholarships to the U.S. college or university of their choice to study queer theory or related fields.
   Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund - The International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE) awards scholarships (up to $10,000) to students identifying as transgender who are studying Social Services, Health Care, Religious Instruction, Law and other academic areas.
   Audre Lorde Scholarship Award - The sponsor awards a scholarship to recognize out lesbians and gay men of African descent who are making significant contributions to their communities.
   Educational Research Center of America (ERCA) Community Contribution Scholarships - Recognizes and rewards students who have made an extraordinary contribution to their community and/or high school.
   Gay, Lesbian,Bisexual, Transgender and Ally Scholarship in Honor of Mary Finley - Given to a University of North Texas student.
   Houston Transgender Unity Committee - Awards scholarships to Houston area transgendered persons who are attending accredited colleges and universities.
   KarMel Scholarship - The KarMel Scholarship was created to encourage students to write/create something that will express their views on the gay/lesbian/bi/transgender topic.
   Malyon-Smith Scholarship Award - The American Psychological Association's Division 44 offers this award to support graduate student research into psychological issues relevant to individuals who are gay, lesbian and bisexual.
   National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) - NGLTF presents a $240,000 scholarship program for high school seniors and undergraduate college students who plan to pursue a bachelor of arts degree in journalism at an accredited four-year college or university. 
   PFLAG Scholarships
   Rice University Gay and Lesbian Alumni Scholarship - The Gay and Lesbian Alumni of Rice University, Houston, Texas awards a $1000 scholarship each academic year.
   Youth Courage Award - The Colin Higgins Foundation awards three $10,000 grants to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth (through age 24) who have stood up to hostility and intolerance based on their sexual orientation and triumphed over bigotry or allies who are working to end homophobia and discrimination against LGBTQ communities.

TRANSGENDER RESOURCES
   FTM DFW - FtM DFW is an organization for the support of individuals in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, who were born female and experience GID, are transgender, transsexual, or plan to transition. This website lends general information and lists local resources, but is not intended to give medical or legal advice.
   GEAR - Gender Education, Advocacy & Resources (GEAR) was created as a program of the Resource Center Dallas in 2005, and is the first formalized transgender program sponsored by a major gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) organization in North Texas.
