Dallas Pride Parade
*The 2011 Spectrum | SMU Honorary
Representative: Dr. David Chard, Dean of the Simmons School of
Education at Southern Methodist University.
Spectrum
will be officially marching in the Dallas Pride Parade with SMU
students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The GSAs of TCU and Texas Wesley
will also be marching with Spectrum.
Pride Parade takes place on September 18th from 2-4pm at Ceader Springs
Rd. Carpooling will be accomodated for those that register by sending
hluna@smu.edu an email. All that register and need a ride should
meet up at SMU's flagpole promptly at 12noon. Cars will depart by
12:15pm.
How to get to stage area to march:
Since Spectrum is #66 in
the parade entry, Spectrum will be staged on Douglas Ave. between N.
Hall St. and Rawlings St. Participants will enter Douglas Ave by using
Lemmon Ave. There will be a visible chalk mark indicating Spectrum's
spot.
Remember, participant will have until 1:30pm to arrive; no entrance to staging area will be allowed afterwards.
