Instructions for joining a student organization through SMU's Access.smu.edu system
Select the "Personal Portfolio Home" link in the top of the Student Self Service box.
Select Student Organizations.
Click the "Join a Student Organization" button.
Click the magnifying glass search button.
Without entering text, Click the "Lookup" button.
Locate SPARC's entry. Alphabetically it is listed under "MOVE" in the right column. The entry title is "Students Promoting Awareness," Click on the entry title.
Making sure SPARC is in the text field, select the "Continue" button.
After reading the agreement, make sure you have checked the "i agree" check box and then proceed to click the "Continue" botton.
Follow the onscreen instructions and proceed by clicking the "Submit" button.
Click on the "Print Waiver" button for SPARC.
You will recieve the waiver in your smu.edu e-mail inbox. Open the attachment, print it, sign it, and bring it to a SPARC meeting, SPARC member, or to the LCI office on the 3rd floor of the Hughes-Trigg student center at your earliest convenience.
