SPARC aims to get SMU students involved in the Dallas community through service.  This registered student organization does not have any hourly requirements, so to speak, but we do try to help the campus make a difference in the world.  We have several opportunities for you to explore what kinds of service opportunities are in the Dallas area.  Just check out our projects page!

SPARC (Students Promoting Awareness, Responsibility and Citizenship) was created by a group of SMU students dedicated to emphasizing the need for the SMU community to become involved in and promote community activities. These activities focus on the areas of volunteer service, social consciousness and citizenship. SPARC is advised by staff members of the Leadership and Community Involvement (LCI) office of SMU, and supported as an umbrella service organization on campus.
