I.      Budget

a.       Possible appeal of budget, Ross will be looking into this

b.      As another possible solution to the deficit, we may partner with other organizations when sponsoring activities

           II.      Outlines for 1Ls

a.       If you have old outlines, please e-mail them to the smuoutlaw@yahoo.com so we may compile a disk for the 1Ls

         III.      Community Service

a.       Lambda Legal is currently taking applications for volunteers; this would fulfill SMU’s community service requirement

        IV.      Pride Weekend Activities/Volunteer Opportunities

a.       Friday, September 15, Lambda is hosting a party with Passport Magazine from 6-9 and the W Hotel; RSVP online (appetizers and drinks are free)

b.      Dallas Legal Hospice Float—they need volunteers Saturday, September 16, from approximately 10-2, lunch provided

c.       Both Lambda Legal and DLH need volunteers to ride on their floats on Sunday, September 17; please contact Ross if you are interested

           V.      Other Activities/Announcements

a.       Dallas Legal Hospice Wrap-Up Party Sunday, September 10, from 4-7 at Times Ten Cellar (free if you have previously attended a DLH In the Heat of the Night event)

b.      The SMU Women’s Center wants Lambda Legal to have a table for National Coming Out Day, October 11th. Since Lambda will not be able to man the table, we may volunteer to do it for them. Contact Ross if you are interested in helping out and learning more about Lambda Legal.

c.       The Dallas Resource Center is conducting an evening AIDS education program on Wednesdays (Tom Horton has the info on this if you are interested in attending)

d.      AIDS Life Walk—Sunday, October 1—we may partner with other SMU groups

e.       The undergraduates have asked to attend a masquerade party for coming out week. Our participation will be contingent upon member interest.
