 NEW EVENTS and EXECS for 2009-2010

The Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) is a network of pre-health students and chapter nationwide. Our goal is to provide underrepresented pre-health students with knowledge, skills, and experience that are both prerequisite and concomitant to professional participation in health care fields and to improve the minority matriculation into all professional health related programs. We are also committed to addressing the needs of the underserved communities and increasing professional medical access to the underserved and underprivileged population of the world.

MAPS is a chapter under the Student National Medical Association (SNMA).  SNMA is the nation's oldest and largest independent, student-run organization focused on the needs and concerns of medical students of color. Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students, addressing the needs of underserved communities, and increasing the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent and socially conscious physicians.
