Notes: The on-air annoucement shall be restricted to 30 seconds per spot. The web banner shall be a 468x60 pixel JPEG, PNG, GIF, or animated GIF. The banner will be displayed for at least 25% of all page hits and will run for duration of the on-air announcements.
Content Conditions
An underwriting announcement can contain information specific to your business and products, but it cannot be a traditional advertisement with endorsements or specific types of language. The specific conditions that your spot must meet are outlined below. The same restrictions apply to web banners.
It can include...
- Your name
- Your products and/or services
- Your official corporate slogan
- Your location (physical address)
- Your telephone number or e-mail
- Your website

It cannot include...
- "Calls-to-action" -- language that requests an action to take place, such as "stop by," "call now," or "go to."
- Qualitative language -- words that assign a certain quality to a business, product, or service such as "finest selection," "state of the art," or "newest model."
- Prices of any kind, including "free," "sale," "discount," "clearance," "reduced," or "liquidation."

Acceptability: KPNI reserves the right to reject pre-prepared underwriting announcements deemed to adversely affect the integrity and credibility of the station, the Division of Journalism, and/or Southern Methodist University with offensive or indecent content that would offend a majority of the university community.
