Case
Interviews
Management Consulting is one of the most competitive industry's
coming out of business school, and the hiring process is
made-to-suit. Rather than simply giving you the classic resume
interview, consulting firms employ case interviews. This
allows them to get a deeper glimpse at the candidates
problem-solving skills than a traditional interview allows.
Case interviews most often consist of business
cases. The candidate is expected to drive a cogent analysis of
the situation and its factors, and end with a firm statement about
what the company should do.
There are several resources available to help you
with preparing for these interviews, the first of those being this
club! Come to our meetings and practice your casing skills with
other SMU students. Also, there are several manuals which offer
relevant advice and sample cases to practice. |
