Recruitment Week Schedule 2008

ATTENTION - In order to be eligible to receive a bid of membership during the formal recruitment process, Potential New Members MUST attend all scheduled meetings and events during the week. There are no exceptions to this policy.

    Monday, January 7, 2008

  • Deadline for ALL grade changes and appeals through the Dean of Student Life office.
  • Mandatory Orientation Meeting - 6:00pm, Hughes-Trigg Theatre. IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT AT THIS MEETING YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN RECRUITMENT. Make your travel arrangements NOW!
  • Attire: Comfy and casual

Tuesday, January 8, 2008 - Open House Round

Attire: Wear your favorite SMU shirt or you can buy an SMU
Panhellenic shirt prior to recruitment for $10. Wear jeans,
khakis or other casual pants and tennis shoes.

  • Potential New Members will visit each of the chapters to met women from all sororities.

Wednesday, January 9, 2008 - Philanthropy Round

Attire: All Potential Members will wear a t-shirt provided by Panhellenic (mandatory). Wear jeans, khakis or other casual pants and tennis shoes.

During the Philanthropy Round, each chapter will demonstrate their commitment to philanthropy through craft projects and speakers. You will be participating in the craft projects so please keep this in mind when choosing your attire.

 

 

 


Thursday, January 10, 2008 - Skit Round

    Attire: Wear snappy casual. You might be sitting on bleachers so take that into
    consideration when choosing a skirt versus pants. Chapters will entertain you with skits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday, January 11, 2008 - Preference Round

                         Attire: Wear cocktail attire. Do not wear overly formal or sequined dresses. It is your final opportunity to interact with the chapters before bid day.

 

 

 








Saturday, January 12, 2008 - Bid Day

  • Attire: Wear jeans, a plain long sleeve white t-shirt and tennis shoes.
  • Today you will meet your new sisters! Chapters have retreats planned for new members. Please prepare to stay overnight.
