Panhellenic Recruitment Registration Instructions

  • Print these instructions for use during registration.
  • You will need access to a digital picture, check book or credit card, and your résumé.
  • The online registration link is located at the bottom of this page - DO NOT CONTINUE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ ALL OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
  • Once you have submitted your application, you will not be able to edit it.
  • Applications submitted without payment in one week will be terminated and need to be resubmitted.

Step 1 – Recruit Information

  • Your preferred name is the name that you would like to be called.  It will be the dominant name on your nametag.
  • Please enter your student ID with no dashes: 12345678
  • DO NOT enter a P.O. Box # for college address, a physical address is required.
  • Include city and state in your hometown field

Step 2 – High School Information

  • This information is helpful to chapters
  • If your high school did not rank, you do not need to fill out this section.

Step 3 – Contact Information

  • This should be the address you will reside during winter break
  • Please include the name of your parent or guardian

Step 4 – Current College Information

  • Make sure to indicate your year in school

Step 5 – College History

  • This section is ONLY for college or university information OTHER than SMU
  • Click “Add” after entering information.
  • Repeat as necessary.

Step 6 – Legacy Information

Each chapter has its own legacy policies and qualifications.  Being a legacy does not guarantee a bid from that chapter.

  • If a member of your family has a sorority affiliation, please indicate it in this section
  • Use the drop down menu to select the relationship to you
  • Indicate the name (optional)
  • Use the drop down menu to select the sorority
  • Indicate the school (optional)
  • Click “Add”
  • If you make a mistake, you may delete the entry
  • Repeat the process for as many members of your family needed

Step 7 – Recruitment History

  • Please indicate whether you have participated in a Panhellenic recruitment process before

Step 8 – Miscellaneous Activities

  • This step replaces providing a resume, please be as thorough as possible including Honors, Awards and and work experience.  You will have an opportunity for overflow information in the next screen but space is limited.
  • You may cut and paste text from a Word Document into the boxes.

Step 9 – Additional Information

  • T-shirt Size – registrants who participate in the Formal Recruitment process will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt for Philanthropy Round (Day 2).  You MUST wear the t-shirt on that day.
  • T-shirts are adult sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
  • During the payment process, you will have the opportunity to purchase a different t-shirt for Open House Round (Day 1).  The dress requirement for Open House Round is an SMU t-shirt and casual bottoms.  Panhellenic is offering an SMU Panhellenic t-shirt for $10. 
  • You are required to upload a picture.  Panhellenic does not require a professional picture.  Any clear picture is allowed.  The chapters will have access to the photo that you upload.  It will appear exactly as you see it for the chapters.  Please use an image large enough to see.

Step 10 – Review

  • After you finish uploading your picture, click “Review”
  • You may review all the information you entered in the system.
  • If something needs to be changed, please click “Modify” and change the information at this time.
  • Read the Disclaimer carefully.
  • Click “Accept”
  • You may still “Modify” at this time.
  • If everything looks good, click “Save/Submit”

Step 11 – Payment

  • The base registration fee is $75.00 prior to October 1, 2007.  Registration after October 1 is $100.  Registration ENDS DECEMBER 1, 2007. 
  • If you would like to purchase the optional SMU Panhellenic t-shirt, you may do so at this time.  Select the second payment option (recruitment registration fee + $10.)  The dress requirement for Open House Round is an SMU t-shirt and casual bottoms.  This t-shirt adheres to the dress code.
  • You may pay online by credit card or e-check.  You may also submit payment via check to SMU Panhellenic, ATTN: VP Finance, PO Box 750436, Dallas, TX 75240. Memo line must include Potential New Member's full name as submitted online.
  • You will receive a confirmation email to your email address.  If you are unable to pay at this time, a payment link will appear on the bottom of your confirmation.
  • You MUST pay within one week of registration.
