| Summer 1933 | The Frank family moves to the Netherlands. |
| May 10, 1940 | German forces invade the Netherlands. |
| June 12, 1942 | Anne's 13th birthday. She receives her diary as a present from her father. |
| July 5, 1942 | Margot Frank (Anne's sister) receives a notice to go to a transit camp. |
| July 6, 1942 | The Frank family mvoes into their hiding place which becomes known as the Secret Annex. |
| August 4, 1944 | The Franks are arrested in the Secret Annexe. |
| September 2, 1944 | Anne and the other members of the Secret Annexe are sent to Auschwitz. |
| April 1945 | Anne dies of typhus in Bergen-Belsen. |
