Visual Rhetoric of Stained Glass Windows in the Medieval Church

 

  

Traditionally, stained glass windows in the Medieval church played little to no role in our historical

perception of Medieval times, other than as another architectural component of Gothic structures. 

 

       

 

The first thing noticeable in the images is the ornate detail. Even after restoration,

the true effect must be witnessed from an interior perspective during daylight hours.
