Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I join?
Joining the club is very simple - you show up, dance, and enjoy yourself, AND if you are a SMU student/faculty/staff, you join the club on access. That's it!
2. What is the format of the class?
The club goes from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. with two different (and usually contrasting) dances being taught, one each hour.
In between the two dances there is normally a break, during which any club announcements are discussed.
3. What about parking?

4. Do I need to have a partner/dance shoes/previous dance experience to attend class?
The answer to all of the above is NO! If you want to come to your partner that is certainly fine, but we usually rotate partners throughout class to let the men practice leading and the girls practice following. Dance shoes are not required, but you probably shouldn't wear tennis shoes (if you only have tennis shoes, try just socks if you're brave!) Also, please wear shoes with non-marking soles. Come to the class with a love and joy of dancing - no previous experience required!
5. What should I wear/bring to class?
Something comfortable that doesn't restrict your movement. Tennis shoes and flip flops are not recommended. A water bottle is always a good idea, and bring your SMU ID for class pricing.
