About Us

We are a social organization at Southern Methodist University that seeks to share the joy and excitement of ballroom dancing with as many people as possible. The classes are open to students, as well as anyone in the community who would like to attend.

Hello all! Welcome to the SMU Ballroom Club website.

Congrats to the SMU Ballroom Team for their success at Rice's "Dances with Owls" competition. Check out the team page for more info!

If you are an SMU student/faculty/staff who is interested in this club (ESPECIALLY if you bought a semester pass) we ask that you please join our club on Access (pretty, pretty please!). This is how SMU keeps track of our club membership. There's even a walk-through to help you, complete with screen shots. And if you're over 18 you don't even have to print out the waiver. It only takes a few mintues, and we would be eternally grateful if you will help us and the club out!

The schedule for the year has been set - go to the schedule page to check out who we have teaching what this year, and what to look forward to.

SMU students, faculty/staff - $5.00 per Saturday lesson (a la carte), $20.00 per semester
SMU Alums - $10.00 per Saturday lesson (a la carte), $50.00 per semester
Non-SMU - $25.00 per Saturday lesson (a la carte), $200.00 per semester
*The Dedman center now charges $10.00 for the entrance of non-SMU affiliated people. This is a fee not associated with our club and over which we have no control*
