Executive Board Minutes 1-19-99


The meeting began w/ the three sharp taps of Katie's pen.

***Jay - SVP***********************************************************
-Reported on last week's project the Arc of Dallas - went well- typical
 Arc of Dallas project - 11 people came - great reflection period
 afterwards.
-This week's project is with the UT-Dallas chapter. It was originally to 
 be with the Ronald McDonald house but HAS BEEN CHANGED to do landscaping
 w/Eastern Seals. Time- morning, more specific time TBA.
-Jan 30th project w/ New Beginnings - Jay needs a project chair

****Sam - MVP*************************************************
-Handed out the newest edition of Torch and Trefoil
-Fellowship event this week is tomorrow (Wed). Meet on the steps of
 Hughes-Trigg at 7 p.m. w/ $7 to go play Lasertag!
-Emily reported on active retreat. Lots of fun - had reflection period,
 played games, volleyball and frisbee, too. Lots of fun!!
-Shannon's SPIRIT TEAM busted in and we all had a big Hershey Kiss fight!
 Her Spirit team consists of JI's Lara, Earl, & Ramona. More to come on
 this!

-UTD info session is next Friday at 6:30! Everyone should come! 
-This semesters pledge class namesake presented in honor of Bill
 Kuhfal!! Congrats!

-Remaining info sessions:
 Jan 20th at 5:30 p.m. LOCATION MOVED TO ATRIUM A!
 Jan 22nd at 1 p.m. in Portico B!
 Everyone come!
-Thank you to all the actives who have attended thus far! 16 actives have
 attended two info sessions! 
-Buy t-shirts! They are really awesome looking and only $12.50 for a
 limited time!

**Freddie, treasurer, was not in attendance but he sent messages to 
 -Pay your dues or he will kill you! Talk to him if you have a problem
 with paying them right now.
 -Join his committee!

**Aren, secretary, was also not in attendance but sent messages that
anyone who has not filled out his roster info. via e-mail needs to please
do so, or if you never check your e-mail or do not have an account you can
call him at 8-6741 or visit him in room 205 Moore Hall.

Aren Cambre is a crack whore.

-New system, instead of passing around clip boards we will have a sign-up
 table to sign up for all of the week's up-coming events before or after
 meeting.
-The Cool Conference- conference on volunteerism- March 18th-21st in Salt
 Lake City Utah. Contact Katie for more info if your interested!
-Sing song contest- need someone to organize it if we want to partcipate
 in it!
-Dining w/ the Decision Makers- contact Katie for more info.

and 44's Sectional Conferences to promote Regionals!

Jen Nash needs APO paraphernalia for the display case in Hughes-Trigg.

Rachel -VERY IMPORTANT- this semester we will have a pre-intiation in
which the pledges will fill out all of the required paperwork and then go
out to dinner. Rachel really, really would like everyone to attend so that
our pledges can get to know us. It will be this Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in
Portico C-D. Actives and JI's should meet there by 5 p.m. to go out to the
Angry Dog Restaurant.
