Minutes for Meeting on 3/20/01

A. Officer Reports

1. Andrea, SVP-
* People Helping People is this sat. meet at 8 H-T steps, leave by 8:30 at latest. (let's try to be on real time NOT SMU time). project co-chairs are Andrea and Scott, let them know if you are coming. Also if you have access to wheelbarrow(s) or can transport some, let Andrea know.
* She is working on finding weekly projects. possibly Scottish Rite or SPCA
* Andrea is hard at work on our wonderful new web page!!! Yeah!!! she needs pictures.(this does not include ones of a certain pledge trainer in water) Will be up within 2 weeks.

2. Summer, MVP
* this week's fellowship is Putt-Putt, meet Friday at 6:30 H-T, bring $. let her know if you are coming.
* Crush Party is coming up and is going to be awesome!!! We are in need of a DJ (preferably free?) Let Summer know if you have like a cousin Al who can mix it up for us. Help is still needed for the party, so volunteer!!!!

3. Laura, Pledge Trainer-
* pledges are doing well, could always use encouragement.
* If you are a Big, you better not let me hear of you neglecting your Little. Very Bad things could happen.
* pledge project is next Sat, 31st . We will meet maybe 1:30ish, project from 2-4 Ron McDonald house, we will be making root beer floats. Ice cream is always fun.Trenton will send out more info about this. If you are a Big, you must attend. Remember those contracts?

4. Kelly, PR/Rush
* Blood Drive - sign up to work the tables. You can wear the really groovy survivor theme t-shirt. She also needs help with posters,chalk talk, etc.Let her know ASAP.
* Crush lists(up to 3 peoples) are past due. Due by Tues, 20th by midnight. or else too bad. I will crush folks for you.

5. Jen (in abstencia), Secretary
* submit info for newsletter to Kelly
* jerseys will be ordered soon, so start saving yo $

6. la presidente Carrie
* seniors need to fill out a form for the national office so you can receive a really cool gift.
* By-laws committee- Danielle- need 2 people from each pledge class to sign up. she will be calling you if she needs you even if you did not sign up. Needs one more person from current pledge class.If you have any ammendments you would like to make, get them to her by 12:00 AM Friday . then these can be picked up from the office by Fri. noon to look over.
* Sectionals- If you said you were going, you are going because a check has already been made for all the costs. Money due to Carrie's box by Wed. 21st(tomorrow)
* Crush Party T-shirts - sign up, they are really cute!!!cost is 11.95 up to 25. more than 25 , and cost is 8.95. Maybe you could even buy one for your crush(es)?
* News from National office- CPW(Chapter Programming Workshop) is coming up. This is awesome fun. June 22-24 in Nachodoches. Good experience, especially those interested in leadership positions.
* John Wetherington is looking for help in picking the fall National pledge class namesake.

B. Old business

* Delegates for sectionals were voted on. Congrats to Kelly and Laura Wright !!! Woohoo!! you go girls!!

C. New Business

* Sectionals bid, After discussion and vote, chapter decided to put forth a bid to host the next sectionals conference in 2002. AO - We rule the World, so why not show the other chapters in our section this? Laura Wright, Carrie, Danielle working on this.
* Laura Wright told us Section 41 does not have a set of by-laws or standing rules, so she proposed that she propose a set at sectionals. She has a rough draft of these. Has emailed to chapter for corrections, suggestions, will vote on these next meeting, to see if we as chapter want to propose these at sectionals. Way to go AO for taking the intiative!!!

C. announcements

* Banquet coming up april 27 or 28. this is going to be realy nice,semi-formal. Summer is researching places for us.
* Brother Emily Caton is in the hospital. if you would like contact info, see Laura Muniz(that's me)
* Carrie got a cool CPW flier in the mail if you would like to see it.
