Chapter Meeting Minutes 9-14-99

Meeting opened at 6:35pm

The illustrious Fellowship chair imitated Sam....it was quite funny....

Service VP-CArissa:  This week's project, making Halloween cards.  The
people who make the cards will decide where they go.  Meet Sunday 9/10 at
3pm, location TBD. 
		-9/25 We will be helping with the Habitat Fun Run
		-10/3 We will prepare a meal for AIDS Services of Dallas.
		We need to pick the meal, buy the meal,cook the meal,
serve it, and clean up afterwards.  We will vote on what we will serve at
Next Tuesday's meeting.

		-Sectional Service event Oct 2 at CAmp Summit from 9-3.
		Directions will be given
Membership VP-Marcus
		-Laser tag Blue/Gold competition Friday at Funworks in
		Mesquite.  Bring AT LEAST $6.50 for laser tag, and more 
		if you want to do more.  Meet on the steps of Hughes-Trigg
		at 7pm.
		
		-Blue Team will be:  All VAndana(yay!!!) and Elite line
		members

		-Gold team will be: everyone else

		-Super Active: Misti Banks, Super Pledge: Alexa Herrington

		-Bill Kufal spoke a few minutes about our chapter's
		history

		-Marcus was the AOBat Theif.  (Duh, like we didn't know ;)

Pledge Goddess-Danielle:

		-All pledges were at project on Saturday

		-Alternate initiation will be Tuesday the 21 after
		meeting.  PLEASE DRESS NICE!

PR/RUsh-Kristi:
		-Sign up to do Blood Drive Sign-ups on the 21-23.  See 
		Kristi for times.

Treasurer-Rex:
		-Fundraiser will be 10/2.  
		-Dues due Oct 19.
Secretary-Jen:
		-Handed out rosters-please put corrections in my box,
		there will be an updated roster 2-3 weeks.
		-Handed out Sept & Oct Calendar.  November froze my
		computer, so it will come out on Tues 9/21.

Appointed positions:

		-Daryl announced that SMU Rides is now located in the
Senate office near the VP's door.  There is a file cabinet that has our
equiptment in it.  If you would like to work Rides, please contact Daryl.

		-Jay announced that the first newsletter went out.
Also, if you want a hotel room for regionals, AO is not paying for one,
and you should register before 9/29 to get the guaranteed rate.

		-Alexa announced that Alcohol awareness week is 10/18-22
		if you would like to volunteer to be a drunk person, 
		contact Friends to Friends.

President-Sam:
		-We are on gavel-stealing suspension.  The gavel should
not be wrenched from a president while he/she is being pinned on gravel.
The gavel should be taken if it is left unguarded, ie: if Sam lays it down
and is not paying attention to it.  The gavel will not be at meeting for 2
more weeks.
