Executive Board Minutes 9-29-98

Danielle announced that on either October 15th or 25th we will have a
sporting event with UTD. She is asking for suggestions on banquet locations.

Sam and Natalie reported that they recently talked to the La Quinta on
Walnut Hill and Meadows. Looking pretty good. Will get with Jamie to talk
to other chapters to ask them to wear our regional bid t-shirts.
Sam and Natalie will attend the Alumni meeting.

Katie reminded us that to meet this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. for the service
project. Next weekend's project will be with the Arc of Dallas.

Kristi suggested a possible project Fall Break weekend. For this project
we would record scores for golfers. We would receive a donation to
the chapter for doing this.

Closed discussion

Gina told us that Scouting advisors will soon be presented to the chapter
and voted on. Still thinking about getting one associated with the Girl
Scouts. Gina is talking to Aren and Bill concerning advisor issues.

Jay reminded us that Victory Party is this Friday at 7 p.m.
Big assignments will be made soon. These decisions will be made by Jay
and Jay only. There are 13 Bigs. Pledge retreat went well. Pledges were
taught the Purpose and the Toast Song by active brothers.
Alternate initiation.

Jen Nash reminded us about the car wash this Saturday. Thursday at 8 p.m.
her committee may have a postermaking party for the car wash instead of
their meeting. Next week she will talk about account info., car wash
earnings, and dues.

Discussion: Chapter room at Nationals.
She will be talking to Senate on Monday concerning money for
Delegates. She will need $52 for each of the 4 nights in the hotel as
well as $35 each for registration.
Try to get money for Airfare...?

The $100 we received for distributing student guides is going into the
Tools Account.

Trailer stolen. Not much help from DPS. Will continue working on it.

That was it. The meeting lasted about 3 hours.
