Chapter Meeting Minutes 9-1-98 *Service Projects* If enough people are interested: AO History Project Saturday, 10 a.m. at the SMUSH. There will be a project this Sunday at the Dallas Life Foundation (a temporary homeless shelter) meet at 4:45 p.m. at the SMUSH. Katie presented the idea of accepting positions and/or adopting a room at a place called the Family Gateway ( a homeless shelter). For an application see Katie. Gina reminded us that there are only 76 days til Nationals. She also told us whether we are on the Blue or Gold Team. So far Blue has 295 pts and Gold has 322. Go gold! eh hemm... excuse me. Gina is asking for suggestions for scouting advisors, as we are in need of one. See her if you have any! Jen Anderson enourages everyone to attend the info sessions! And don't forget to pick up your Rush buttons! "Chalk talk" will be tomorrow (Wed) night at 8:30 p.m. Meet at the Bridge like thing outside of Hughes-Trigg. Jay's pledge committee, the "AO Lifeline" will consist of Rachel, Danielle, Natalie, and Michelle. If you want to be a Big pick up an application from Jay. They are due Sept 8th. The Fall 1998 Pledge Class namesake is Brother Joseph F. Kuchta. Jen Nash announced that spending reports will be available every week at meeting. We voted on whether to raise dues a) not at all b) by $5 c) by $10 They will be raised by $5 therefore making active dues $30 per semester. A company called "Campus Guides" will pay AO $100 to distribute 1500 books around campus. These books include campus info., student activities, local restaurants, and coupons. This will take place Thursday and/or Friday afternoons. If you are interested, contact Jen Nash A.S.A.P. Kristi announced the appointed positions. Danielle announced that there will be a fellowship event Thursday night. Meet at the SMUSH at 7:30 p.m. to go Swing Dancing at the Red Sacket. It's $8 if you're over 21 and $6 if you're not.
