Chapter Meeting Minutes 11-22-98

Katie 
Jen Nash talked about the Bryan's House project in which they had a lot 
of fun and folded a lot of socks.
Katie says ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO GET ACTIVE! Get their hours, pay their dues!
No service projects this weekend due to Activation.

A resignation letter from Gina was read to the chapter.
Jen Anderson will take on Gina's remaining responsibilities as MVP
This Thursday night is party at RIDES/ History project.
Bring your ideas for games at activation!

Blue currently has 3290 points and
Gold has 3380! (go gold...eh hem, sorry)
Spicy reminded us that Emily Dyer's birthday is Nov. 20th and Laura 
Wright's is Nov 21st.
Alternate Rotunda Passaage - working w/Gina on. Contact either of them if 
you are interested.

-Pre Activation is at 3:00 PM on Friday. Meet on the Steps of HT.

-Jay's pledges gave yet another wonderful presentation. This time it was 
on the chapter's history! 
-Acclamation vote on pledges. All were approved! Congratulations to 
Laura, Lara, Rex, Earl, Tom, Romalo, and Ramona! 
Good luck on fulfilling any last minute requirements you have!

-Ugly Man went fairly well!
-raised $145.32
-the fraternity boys seemed to enjoy it
-winner is Greg Smith
-probably going to have an article in the Daily Campus about it
-banner in commons area of Hughes-Trigg next week, w/Greg's name and/or 
  fraternity and of course OUR NAME! yea! publicity for everyone!
-Dues!!! If you do not pay your dues you can neither vote nor run for 
office. So pay up!!
-Jen will bring ornament next week for the child at the Celebration of 
Lights for us to help decorate.

This is your last chance to order jerseys! You must bring your money next 
week! I now have enough people to place the order, however if there is 
anyone else who wants to order one do so now or forever hold your peace!

Wendy Jeffus announced that there is a project the Saturday after 
Thanksgiving (the 28th) to help kids make Gingerbread houses. It is from 
8-4 but you can come for whatever time you can. Channel 8 News and the 
Dallas Morning News will both be there.
-Contact her ASAP if you want to participate because she needs to give 
them a number of people this week!

-UTD Chartering ceremony is Dec 12th from about 2 p.m. til about 4 p.m.
We are also invited to their semi-formal banquet that same night at 7 p.m.

-DSK committee is being headed by Matt & Eileen.
-nominations due by Nov. 20th. They ask that you please include details 
as to why you are nominating the person.
-let Matt or Eileen know if you want to be on their committee.

-Chapter reaffirmation has been taken care of.

-There were ZERO - count them - zero Oral Nominations!
Nominations were subsequently closed.
All DECLINATIONS must be made by SUNDAY NIGHT!
Absolutely no campaign materials, subiminal or not, may be included over the 
listserv or via e-mail period!
Speech times 

SMU co-chair applications are due by Monday Nov. 30th.

-If you have not returned your potential meeting time form put it in 
Jay's box by Friday!

This weeks' fellowship event is to go to the Hunger Banquet Sun at 6 p.m.
Banquet is going to be $12.
It will be $9 for the first 10 guests who pay who do not want a glass 
and $14 for those who do. 
After the first 10 guests pay it will be $14 for every guest after that.
So, if your guest does not want a glass get your money in fast!

come dressed as your favorite cartoon character or celebrity
