Chapter Meeting Minutes 11-10-98 Katie Review of the past weekends' project Sunday - had a good time - Eileen talked about the dessert table this weekend - Bryan's house, Saturday - helping them get ready for a fundraiser Sunday's project To be announced Announced who's active Gina was not at this week's meeting Jay's pledges gave a presentation on the different levels of the fraternity 1) Most important level - members 2) Chapters 3) Sections 4) Regions 5) National Board of Officers Jay announced that we will have a van for activation- it will be a camping excursion- sign up if you want to be in a cabin instead of outside in a tent. Everyone plan to stay for the service project the next morning!!!!! Next week there will be a simple acclamation vote to activate the pledges Laura won a cup for saying the purpose (Rex won one last time, forgot to mention that). Jen Anderson working on press releases for home town newspapers' of pledges pictures would be good! Jen Nash Senate residuals for $450 for Regional Bid passed! Ugly Man on Campus is this week! Tables will need to be manned at all times! This should be fun so come help, have fun, and get hours all at the same time! 5 organizations have replied and we have 3 organizations so far. Guess what? You, yes you, can still pay dues! Only $35! Heather I passed around a sign-up sheet for anyone who would like to purchase a jersey. They are 22.95 with cuffs and 21.95 without. I need at least 3 more people to order one if we are going to order any this semester because if our order is less than $100 there is an extra $10 service fee. To be continued... Second issue, should there be more emphasis put on emergency safety among our principles. General chapter feeling: not really. Kristi Dec 12th is UTD's chartering ceremony - thinks it will be around 4 or 5 p.m. Everyone should try to go! DSK (Distinguished Service Key) committee needed. Will be a one to two meeting commitment. Decide if there will be one given and if so, to whom. Mail Sam led a run-off vote on the National's t-shirt design. Danielle- This week's fellowship event will be Friday night at 7 p.m. meet at the Hughes-Trigg theater to watch Something about Mary - bring your Student ID This Thursday her fellowship committee will meet at 8 p.m. - Let her know whether or not you can come! Banquet will be at Hunan's! Andrea - will have RIDES applications next week for anyone interested. Michelle - Work on the history project! Immediately! Peanut Butter and Jelly- I mean Rachel and Yellie- I mean Rachel and Danielle announced that they need help with a psychology experiment. It will be real easy - all you have to do is watch a video and fill out a survey. Let them know if you would be willing to help them. |
