First, I want welcome the 10 new pledges from tonight's initiation. We are so excited that you joined APO!

Here are some notes from Chapter today:

This Saturday we have our second project. Please meet at the steps of Hughes-Trigg at 8 where we will carpool to the Dallas Life Foundation. We will be organizing donations in the basement till noon. Please come in proper attire- shirts must cover the body and have sleeves, shorts should be knee-length, and some type of closed toe shoe is required.

Also this Saturday is WISE at 11am in HT. It is an information session/family picnic for the recruits and their parents.

***Note***

If you sign up for a service project please make sure that you show up. It is embarrassing when we tell an organization that we have many people coming to volunteer and less than a handful actually show.

Gary has organized our first fellowship for this Friday afternoon. We will meet at 5:30 at Sorority Park for a friendly game of ultimate frisbee (with the official APO frisbee!) till 6:30/45. Depending on how many people show up, we may have dinner afterwards.

Another reminder from Patrick that dues need to be paid by the end of September. It's $40 for actives and $70 for pledges (the first $20 are due at initiation). As an incentive to get your money in quickly, the first 3 actives and 3 pledges to pay get free t-shirts!

Now that we have pledges it is time to (seriously) start thinking about t-shirt ideas. Sexual innuendo is the usual theme, and we plan to stick with the adult genre (thanks for the vocab Gary). Last semester's shirts said "Community Service. Doing it feels so good". Also, if enough people are interested, we may order official APO Jerseys. I am still unsure of the price, but the range would be 25-30 dollars.

Sorry for the overload of information and APO e-mails. Just bear with us till we get things organized.

Have a great week!
