APIL will host its annual scholarship auction on April 3, 2009 in Karcher Auditorium and we are still collecting donations! Please contact Elizabeth Austin at eaaustin@smu.edu with any questions.
Other APIL events include:
- Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Week, which includes
presentations from service providers such as the District Attorney's Office
Domestic Violence Division and Genesis Women's Shelter.
- Public service programs, such as training students in how
to help battered women request and obtain a protective order.
- Inviting local attorneys working in the public arena to
speak on their area of expertise, including attorneys from the Dallas City
Attorney's Office, Human Rights Initiative, Catholic Charities, Legal Aid,
the EEOC, the Public Defender's Office, and many more.
