Amanda De La Cruz is an actress, currently a first year studying for her BFA in Acting at Southern Methodist University in their Meadows program. She graduated in 2013 from Pinellas County Center for the Arts in Saint Petersburg, Florida with a focus in Performance Theater. Among her many roles are: Hecate in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Estragon in Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and Phiomel in Naomi Iizuka’s Polaroid Stories. Amanda has always looked to art as not only a passion, but as clear path which has lead her out of many uncanny situations in her lifetime. She believes that acting gives us all a break from any insecurities that we want to escape, the privilege to be someone else without being diagnosed mentally insane.
